Newstead College Peace Assembly – Closed School Community Event

This year the Newstead College Peace Assembly will have guest speaker Sara Mansour, a poet, lawyer and women's rights advocate, the founder and host of Bankstown Poetry Slam (BPS) in Sydney and a founding board member of NOW Australia. Inspired by the global #MeToo movement, NOW Australia is a non-profit organisation spearheaded by journalist Tracey Spicer to help end sexual harassment, intimidation and abuse in the workplace.
This is a SCHOOL COMMUNITY EVENT ONLY
For the general public, you will be able to hear Sara on the 1st of August at 6pm, Venue: Annexe Theatre, School of Creative Arts, University of Tasmania Inveresk campus, Seating is limited for this free event and bookings are essential. Refreshments will be available in the foyer from 5.30pm
