Group: Launceston Circle Dance Group.
9.45 to 11.45 every Monday
11 July, 18 July, 25 July, 1 August and 8 August
Event: Participatory dancing
Join us as we dance simple, gentle, meditative dances in a circle of peace. Traditional folk dances from Europe were the foundation for the Sacred/Circle dance movement which celebrates 40 years this July. Communities where dancing was mainly in circles were recognised as more peaceful, unified, democratic and egalitarian. Our music and dances come from many communities and cultures - including modern choreographies based on similar steps.
We dance every Monday - including most Public Holidays - and all dances are taught as needed by the participants of the day.
